FOMWAG will continue to prioritize education as a fundamental tool for empowering Muslim women and children in Ghana. Recognizing the persistent literacy gaps, FOMWAG will expand its educational interventions to ensure more Muslim girls and women gain access to quality, holistic education that aligns with Islamic values.
FOMWAG has two schools running (in Greater Accra and the Northern Region). FOMWAG has acquired twenty-four (24) acres of land and is currently constructing an ultra-modern school complex in Greater Accra. Raising funds for this project is a big challenge; however, the new project is draining our time, energy, and resources, so all our efforts are geared towards it. Making it difficult to extend attention to other school projects. Below are images of this new project.
FOMWAG will establish new schools across Ghana,
focusing on underserved Muslim communities. These institutions will offer:
A comprehensive secular curriculum, approved by the Ghana Education Service, providing quality education, strong academic foundations, and holistic student development.
Comprehensive Islamic studies to nurture faith-based values through quality education, character development, spiritual growth, ethical leadership, community service, lifelong learning.
Practical vocational training in high-demand fields including ICT, fashion design, and agribusiness, equipping participants with relevant skills for employment.
FOMWAG STEM Academy for Girls is a science and technology-focused secondary school empowering girls through innovation, education, leadership, and practical skills.
A FOMWAG initiative that takes education closer to children in underserved and remote communities through flexible, portable learning spaces, helping provide access to quality education where permanent schools are limited.
